Pre-Armageddon, or scientific phenomenon?

It’s been a little disconcerting to me that, out of nowhere, the world has just gone crazy! You know what I mean. It’s not just the goons coming out of the woodwork, it’s EVERYTHING!
We’re living in an insanely crazy time! The whole world seems to be turning upside down. Never in the history of the world have so many catastrophic events taken place in such massive quantity and frequency.
Natural disasters. Political unrest. Racism. War and terrorism. Violence. Rioting. Pandemic. Moral decay. The list goes on and on. It has infiltrated every facet of our lives.
WHAT’S GOING ON?!!!
It’s a general consensus that these are the last days. The end of the world. Bible prophecies being fulfilled. The ushering in of the Apocalypse. The coming of Armageddon. Some believe these are just massive coincidences. Others have a scientific point of view. Is it DOOMS DAY, or other unrelated stuff?
The media toys with the uneasiness of the world’s BIG question… What’s REALLY going on? What do we do and how do we prepare for further escalating events?
I see people, groups and religions with their thoughts, ideas and opinions. Many seem to have the same general opinion, on one side or the other, yet widely different points of view regarding the realities and the outcome. What supports these vastly different mindsets?
There's an outpouring of people trying to explain their reasoning behind it all. The questions, the answers and the uncertainties.
I would love to decipher all the secret codes of people’s minds, knowledge, wisdom (or lack of it) and ideas about this ever declining environment. Are there definitive answers? Is there Hope? Are there defense systems we can put into place? Can we find peace of mind?
Your ideas may either add more to the confusion or bring peace of mind to those in need.
